Aquatica Orlando New Slide- Reef Plunge

Reef Plunge is a thrilling water slide that is one of the best rides at Aquatica Orlando. 

Out of all the water slides at Aquatica Orlando, the Reef Plunge has the steepest drop, with an acrylic tube that takes riders through a tank filled with Commerson’s dolphins.

This is also the infamous Aquatica water slide with dolphins.

Approximately 80 feet (24 m) tall, this Aquatica Orlando drop slide takes the riders through a clear tube, where they get a unique view of the dolphins swimming around.

Accessibility:

  • Riders must be 42” (1.07 m) tall to ride this attraction. 
  • Riders must not exceed 300 lbs (136 kg). 
  • Single riders only

Riptide Race

Riptide Race is the world’s tallest dueling water slide, featuring a high-speed race through a series of twists, turns, and drops. 

The ride consists of two parallel slide paths, each with a starting platform from which riders launch simultaneously, allowing them to race each other!

Out of all the Aquatica Orlando slides, the Riptide Race also features a timer system, allowing riders to compete against each other for the fastest time.

Accessibility:

  • Height requirement is 48″ (1.2 m)
  • Guests over 42″ (1 m) are permitted with a supervising companion (14 years or older) 
  • Maximum operational load: single riders 250 pounds (114 kg), double riders 400 pounds (182 kg)

Kare Kare Curl

KareKare Curl is a unique water slide that allows riders to experience a “curve-shaped wave” as they slide down a tube. 

The ride starts with a drop into a high-banked wall, leading to a vertical wave wall.

The wall sends riders up and down before dropping back down and splashing them into a pool at the bottom.

Like all other Aquatica Orlando slides, the KareKare slide is designed to provide you with a thrilling and adrenaline-filled experience.

Accessibility:

  • The height requirement is 48” (1.22m) tall or taller to ride this attraction. 
  • No single riders, groups of 2-5 riders.
  • Maximum Operational load is five riders with a maximum cumulative weight of 750 pounds (340kgs.)

Ray Rush

Ray Rush is a magnificent water slide that opened in 2018, featuring three different elements- water jets, a giant manta ray-themed raft and a water sphere! 

Starting with an enclosed slide that drops riders into a massive sphere, the ride takes a spin around before exiting and entering a second enclosed slide that leads to a splashdown pool.

As one of the tallest of Aquatica Orlando slides, Ray Rush is 60 feet (18 m) tall and features a 55-foot (16m) drop. 

Accessibility:

  • Riders under 48” (1.22m) tall are recommended to wear a life vest and be able to maintain proper riding position unassisted in a double tube. 
  • No single or double riders.
  • Maximum operational load 3-6 persons, 250 pounds (113 kg) combined weight minimum and 1,000 pounds (454 kg) combined weight maximum. 

Ihu’s Breakaway Falls

Ihu’s Breakaway Falls, named after Ihu the gecko, the park’s colorful mascot, is the steepest multi-drop tower in Orlando. 

Ihu’s Breakaway Falls stands 105 feet tall and requires the riders to climb to the top of the tower and enter one of three clear “breakaway boxes” where they await their drop. 

Then, the floor drops beneath them, and riders experience a near-vertical free fall before plunging into the slide and racing to the finish.

Accessibility:

  • Riders must be at least 48” (1.22m) tall to ride this attraction. 
  • Due to the mechanics of this attraction, guests approaching or over 300 pounds may not ride. 
  • Single riders only.

Omaka Rocka

Omaka Rocka, one of Aquatica Orlando’s slides, combines the elements of a roller coaster and a water slide. 

The ride is designed with multiple funnels, half-pipe walls, and high-speed tubes that send riders up and down, forward and backward, and even sideways. 

A specially designed raft, accommodating up to four people, is launched into the slide at high speeds, providing a fun and exhilarating experience.

Tassie’s Twisters

Tassie’s Twisters is a ride that features two enclosed tube slides that twist and turn before dumping riders into a splash pool below.

The ride is named after the Tasmanian devil, a marsupial native to Australia that is known for its aggressive behavior and powerful jaw.

Taumata Racer

Aquatica Orlando’s Taumata Racer is a high-speed waterslide modeled after the manta ray, 375 feet (114 m) long. 

Riders race down the slide headfirst on mats and then into twists, turns and drops that provide a thrilling ride.

The name “Taumata Racer” comes from a hill in New Zealand, one of the longest place names in the world.

Walhalla Wave is a thrilling water ride with a unique design that allows riders to experience riding on a high-tech raft.

Walhalla Wave incorporates various elements, including drops, twists and turns, while riding!

The ride begins with a steep drop that propels the raft up a steep wall, giving riders the sensation of weightlessness.

Aquatica Orlando’s Whanau Way is a water slide attraction for families and groups to ride together. 

This water slide is one of the largest in the world and features six-story-tall, intertwined tubes.

These tubes send riders twisting and turning down a steep drop before splashing into a large pool at the bottom.
